Our specialized workshops are designed to enhance vocational skills, promote mental resilience, and facilitate social integration. Our primary objectives include improving motor skills, mental strength, boosting self-confidence, and nurturing independence. We are dedicated to creating a supportive and empowering environment for individuals with special needs.
Student progression pathway
The Learn Program at Flour Power empowers youths with disabilities by offering sustainable micro job opportunities that provide valuable work experience without long-term commitments. Our flexible approach allows participants to develop skills and build confidence at their own pace. We also facilitate interactions with supportive corporate partners who champion inclusivity, providing mentorship and real-world experience to foster a more inclusive workforce. 1. market to plate
Market to Plate is an exciting workshop designed to teach participants a variety of essential skills. These include financial literacy, using public transportation, navigating supermarkets, selecting, and identifying ingredients, and preparing and cooking simple, delicious meals.
The workshop begins with a guided trip to a supermarket, where participants will learn about financial literacy and using public transport. After purchasing ingredients, they will return to our kitchen to learn how to prepare and cook the ingredients into tasty meals. Through the cooking process, participants will also improve their gross and fine motor skills. Overall, the workshop aims to boost their confidence, independence, and mental resilience.
2. intro to cooking
The program aims to provide learners with a strong foundation in simple cooking techniques, while also fostering mental resilience and enhancing both gross and fine motor skills. By engaging in cooking activities, learners will gain practical skills, develop a resilient mindset, and improve their physical coordination, ultimately enabling them to enjoy the process of cooking and its associated benefits.
3. intro to baking
This program aims to impart the fundamentals of simple baking while enhancing mental resilience and motor skills. Through hands-on activities, learner will gain confidence in the kitchen and master essential baking techniques. Follow step- by-step recipes, adapt to challenges, and develop a resilient mindset. Improve gross and fine motor skills through kneading dough, decorating, and more.
4. Basic cooking
This program aims to impart essential cooking techniques, enhance resilience, and develop motor skills. Through hands-on activities, gain confidence in the kitchen and master fundamental cooking methods. Follow step-by- step recipes, adapt to challenges, and cultivate a resilient mindset. Improve gross motor skills through cutting, stirring and flipping, and refine fine motor skills through precise measurement and plating.
5. basic baking
This program aims to impart the fundamentals of simple baking while enhancing mental resilience and motor skills. Through hands-on activities, learner will gain confidence in the kitchen and master essential baking techniques. Follow step- by-step recipes, adapt to challenges, and develop a resilient mindset. Improve gross and fine motor skills through kneading dough, decorating, and more.
6. KOPI TEH MORNING
Kopi Teh Morning offers micro job opportunities tailored for youths with disabilities that are without services, through interactions in a professional setting, with supportive corporate partners.
This program is a 20-hour training programme for youths with special needs to equip participants with basic food and beverage service skills and other essential skills, providing real-world job experiences and fostering independence and inclusivity. These youths serve snacks as well as coffee and tea (Kim’s Duet). They also use equipment sponsored by La Gourmet.

We invite corporations to collaborate with us in providing flexible, short-term job opportunities for youths with disabilities through our Kopi Teh Morning initiative.
